Here's  some great news: Nokia has announced that they will join the GroupWise EMEA Summit in December to present a rather unique lab at - that's another good reason to join us in Bruges! Patricia Zullo (Nokia) and Suresh Seth (Nokia - one of the tech-guys) will present a exciting and unique new lab about GroupWise Mobile Server and the additional Nokia modules available for GMS. So now you really have 25 very good reasons to join the Summit in Bruges!

At the Summit more than 25+ speakers from all over the world will present 25 labs - because of the Hands-On labs we can only accept between 60 to 75 attendees - therefore the ratio of speakers and attendees is 3 against 1. Therefore the Summit will certainly be a terrific mind-share - make sure register now, as seating is limited and the Early Bird is expires soon!

*** More than 25 reasons to join the GroupWise EMEA Summit ***
The GroupWise EMEA Summit is unique - our menu-card shows 25 Hands-On labs and this should really satisfy everyone's appetite. Make sure to check out the full list of labs at www.groupwisesummit.net/labs, here is an overview ordered per theme:

Mobility, Phones & PDA's - We're very proud that both Nokia and RIM/BlackBerry will send their best engineers to each present a unique 3,5 hour Hands-On labs - not only about GMS or BES, but more importantly about all additional options they can offer with their solutions. Make sure to check out Lab250 - Make GroupWise Mobile Server shine with Nokia Modules and Lab120 - Beyond BlackBerry Enterprise Server Quick Start Edition. Furthermore Danita Zanrè (USA) and our new speaker Stéphane Bullou (France) will present Lab200 - GroupWise Mobile Server on Linux - Way to Go! - I can assure you that this will be one of the highlights of the Summit!

Using GroupWise Wisely - By now we should all have recognized the importance of our Power Users and Helpdesk - make them happy with and GroupWise will stay put forever. At the Summit we offer a lot of material to help you to strengthen their and your own position. For example, have a look at Lab010 - GroupWise Bonsai - Collaboration Redefined by Cobus Burgers (South Africa) - he will show how the new Bonsai end-user focused features will certainly make a big difference. Or have a look at Lab070 - Diving deep into Outlook - Can it get any better?, where Diethmar Rimser (Austria) shows you all the best (or worst) features from Outlook - after this lab you will be able to answer all those questions about comparisons between GroupWise and Outlook with real knowledge. Diethmar together with Arnaud Delin (France) will also deliver Lab030 - Getting Things Done - How to Enable your GroupWise Power Users - based on David Allen's famous book "Getting Things Done". Great stuff, check it out!

Teaming & Conferencing will soon offer a lot of new ways of collaboration and in December we will really be able to show you around. Tim Heywood (UK) and David Baldry (Sitescape, UK) will show in Lab020 - Making Teaming + Conferencing Workflow work how to use forms, workflow and much more to customize your T+C environment. In Lab150 - Keeping Novell Teaming + Conferencing in Good Shape they will cover many of the management options, e-mail integration, user & meeting management, troubleshooting and so on. Cobus Burgers and Johan van Zyl (both from South Africa) will share their truly unique knowledge - who would not be interested in Lab160 - Connect Novell Teaming to GroupWise DMS using SOAP? And last but certainly not least, Svetlin Petrov (Bulgaria) and Tim Heywood will present Lab190 - Installing & deploying Novell Teaming + Conferencing - a good foundation of T+C is of the utmost importance!

Get more out of GroupWise - Well, that's what partners can certainly offer - they really stretch GroupWise functionality beyond its limits. Have a look at Uli Neumann and Uwe Krause (GWAVA, Germany) in Lab100 - Your World at your Fingertips - Redline 3 - they will show how to get much more information from GroupWise than you ever imagined. Stéphane and Aldo Zanoni will come all the way from Canada to present Lab110 - How Omni Can Really Make Your GroupWise Rock, showing you how to add a lot of important features and control to GroupWise using Riva and eControl. Matt Hillier (GroupLink, USA) and Ancel Schouwink (Nederland) will present the unique Lab090 - Expand Your Vision! GroupLink’s everything HelpDesk not just for I.T. - this way you can get up to speed fast on a great HelpDesk system which is really integrated with GroupWise. And in Lab170 - M+NetMail & Guardian Denis de Wit (MA, Nederland) shows that collaboration is much more than "just" GroupWise - Netmail is alive and kicking and he will also show you how M+Guardian can protect your environment!

GroupWise Compliance & Availability - GroupWise on a Netware cluster has a very good reputation with regards to availability - in Lab050 - Clustering GroupWise on pure Linux Sander van Vugt (Nederland) and Patrick Frontéri (Norway) will show you how to get the same or even better results on pure Linux. And as more and more of us need to become compliant with rules & regulations for e-mail storage, in Lab080 - M+Archive in Real Live - Building a Customer Case Denis de Wit (MA, Nederland) and Peter Reck (Novell, Germany) will build an archived environment together with you based on a customer case. To make picture complete, Uwe Krause and Uli Neumann (both GWAVA, Germany) will present Lab180 - From Now to Eternity - GroupWise Archiving and Compliance with Retain - this way you can learn a lot about this latest addition to the GWAVA portfolio. Last but certainly not least, Jan-Arie Snijders from Novell EMEA Support will host the very popular Lab060 - Advanced Troubleshooting with Novell Support - really the big hit of last year's Summit!

Pimp your GroupWise - Well, pimping is not a proper way to describe what Tim Draper (Novell, USA) and Tommy Mikkelsen (Denmark) have presented last year - they will now bring an updated version of their very successful Lab140 - Understanding GroupWise Web Services (SOAP/XML Protocol) - this will be very interesting if you need some kind of customization on GroupWise. And with Lab040 - Advanced Workshop on GroupWise Web Services (SOAP/XML) they will take the next step - real expert level for those that want to dive in deep! Slightly different, but certainly very interesting will be Václav Šamša (Czech Republic) with his Lab130 - Advanced Usage of eDirectory with GroupWise - this will demonstrate all kind of synchronization and authentication options taken from the real live. This is actually one of my favorite subjects, too often underrated but very useful! And last but not least, Paul Van der Cruyssen will present Lab220 - Freeware Tools for the GroupWise Administrator - a great way to get more value for zero money!

Moving forward with Bonsai - Personally I'm very much looking forward to Danita Zanrè (USA) and Patrick Frontéri (Norway) presenting Lab210 - Upgrading to GroupWise Bonsai - this will really show you all the nuts and bolts of a successful upgrade. And if you're interested using Linux with GroupWise, make sure to visit Svetlin Petrov (Bulgaria) in his Lab230 - Deploying GroupWise Bonsai on Linux - great stuff from the guy who once has build the "Biggest GroupWise System Ever" (with some help from his friends ;-). And to top it of, Paul Van der Cruyssen (Belgium) will present Lab240 - GroupWise Backup & Restore - Quick & Easy? - this way you will really be prepared for those nightmares scenarios you never want to get into - Paul will turn you into a day-dreamer ;-)
