More GroupWise Events than Ever Before - We Kindly Invite You to Visit them All!
You probably are aware that the one of the most important goals of the
independent GroupWiseR
initiative is
to create "more noise around GroupWise". We're always anxious (to
help) to promote GroupWise in whatever way we can and we've
therefore been very involved with many events like BrainShare, Cebit and much more. In 2004 we've helped
Advisor Media to create the first GroupWise Advisor Summit in Europe. And in July 2005 the GroupWise EMEA Summit, which was organized
by GroupWiseR, has been the stage for the worldwide launch of
GroupWise 7. In 2005 and 2006 we've also organized two very successful GroupWiseR EMEA Tours, visiting 16 countries across EMEA and delivering
GroupWise knowledge to the doorstep of almost 1.200 people.
We're therefore very glad that
during the Fall of 2006 there will be so many events where GroupWise will play an
important role, we would like to (re)introduce two of them to you:

Munich, Germany, October 1 - 3, 2006
| |
You might be aware of the fact that from the end of January until June GroupWiseR has
been very involved with the organization and promotion of this October
event. However, for several reasons it has been decided to have two
separate events, one for GWAVACon, and one for the GroupWise EMEA Summit.
We're sure that the GWAVACon EMEA event
will be a
great success (and we should know, as we've spend a lot of time and
energy on
it). This event will offer you a lot of sessions and the opportunity to
meet some important people from the Novell GroupWise Team. And we managed to
include
a large number of ZENWorks speakers and sessions as well! Last but not
least, for a nonimal fee you can also visit the Octoberfest, often
called the biggest "tea-party" in the world.
So we congratulate GWAVA with their announcement that they
will offer 300 FREE passes for their GWAVACon EMEA event in Munich, Germany on October 1-3, 2006. That's a great gift
to the European GroupWise community. We really hope and expect that this event will be a big success.

Introducing a completely new event:
The GroupWise EMEA Summit
Taking You to the Next Level | |
While the GroupWiseR
initiative helped GWAVA to create their October event, a large group of GroupWiseR people started to work on the next big project: the GroupWise EMEA Summit, which will certainly bring your GroupWise knowlegde to the Next Level
We've managed to create a completely new type of event, which will be
very interactive because it is almost completely based on our Exclusive GroupWiseR Hands-On Labs. Our excellent crew of independent & Novell speakers will host these labs and
they will help you to reach that Next Level providing even better returns on your investment in GroupWise.
This event will not be Free, but as you don't have to
spend (much) money on other events, you might like our All
Inclusive approach, taking away a lot of headaches. Almost everything is included: nights
in a luxury hotel, free
shuttle service, delicious meals, free internet access and much more.
And as the motto for this event is " Quality before Quantity", the seating is limited, so make
sure to check it out at www.groupwisesummit.net or send an e-mail to info@groupwiser.net

GroupWiseR is offering You All
the Choices You Need. |
We've received a number of questions about the GWAVACon October
event in relation to the position of GroupWiseR. Here are some of
those questions and some answers:
Q: Why is the original GroupWiseR & GWAVACon event now two separate events?
A: Both GWAVA and GroupWiseR have spent a lot of energy, time and money
on the October event that is now called GWAVACon, so it's not an easy decision
to separate. However, in the end it turned out that GroupWiseR's desire
to bring a more in- depth, hands- on experience for the conference did
not mesh with the overall needs of GWAVACon. It was decided that
in order for GroupWiseR to bring a new and exciting level of content to
the GroupWise Community, these should be separate events.
Q: So does that mean you should go to the GroupWiseR conference instead of the GWAVACon event?
A: Certainly not. We believe that both events are important for
different reasons. While the GroupWiseR event will be a new and exciting, more in-depth experience for attendees, we appreciate GWAVA's efforts to create GWAVACon. One of the goals of GroupWiseR is to make sure that there is "more noise around GroupWise",
so every additional GroupWise event is welcomed. And it gets even
better: GWAVA has decided to give away 300 FREE Passes! This can
actually be a great benefit to the GroupWise EMEA Community, in that it
will allow your conference budget to go much farther! Now you no
longer need to choose between GWAVACon or the GroupWiseR Conference! You can attend both with a budget that would have
only allowed for one!
Q: How will the GroupWise EMEA Summit compare to the GWAVACon event?
A: While there will be some overlap in speakers (and hopefully
attendees) between these two events, the GroupWise EMEA Summit is being
developed as a totally new concept. It will be almost entirely
"Hands-On" with labs being the prime focus of the event. Go to GWAVACon and find out all that is new and exciting in the GroupWise arena, and
then come to the GroupWise EMEA Summit and roll up your sleeves to see
for yourself how to make the most of your GroupWise system!
Q: Will GroupWiseR be at GWAVACon as well?
A: Although GroupWiseR has never been an official sponsor for any
earlier GWAVACon the idea of a joint conference was originally very
appealing to us. The decision to leave the project for the
October event was not easy, as a lot of time, energy and money was
spend to help to create this event. Currently there are no plans
for an official representation of GroupWiseR at GWAVACon EMEA, as
we did during the recent BrainShare events. But of course a lot of
people from the GroupWiseR initiative will visit the event, so in a way
we will be there as well.
