 Ulrich
brings 16 years of Novell development experience to GWAVA, Inc. Ulrich
Neumann is a two-time winner of the prestigious Novell Developer
Excellence Award. This award is given to a single individual each year
in recognition of their contribution to the Novell development
community. Ulrich won the award in 2001 and again in 2003. Ulrich has
joined GWAVA, the leading GroupWise partner, to begin developing
additional solutions for GroupWise customers beyond GWAVA's traditional
security offering.
Ulrich is also an "open source evangelist" who pushed open source
on NetWare very hard; he has been involved in PostgreSQL and MySQL
development and ported the first version of Bash to NetWare. On NetWare
he has worked a lot on LibC.
He's working with Linux since 1994 and is involved in the GNOME
Project, especially on GNOME-Network and the Evolution mail client that
can connect to GroupWise now. Ulrich has been Speaker at BrainShare in
Europe and SLC. In 2001 and 2003 he has got the official "Developer
SysOp Excellence Award" from Novell for all his efforts. Beside Hacking
he's has the black belt in Karate and is a Licenced Karate Trainer. If
