BONUS SESSION: GroupWise is the real alternative: 10 reasons why its the best! |
|
Here is a message from John Ellis to all Summit attendees:
"I just wanted to officially thank GUG-NL and yourself for the invitation to speak at the Summit and the hospitality provided to my wife Linda and myself. We had a great weekend in Bruges and I hope my talk did some good. I will be back in touch with Robin Redgrave and Alex evans to discuss further how I can help.
Several people asked me about my involvement with the GroupWise community. A big part of the answer is that I enjoy meeting and talking with other GroupWise enthusiasts - from all over Europe and beyond.. They are a great bunch of characters, and I wish them all success. "
You can find the slides of John Ellis session "GroupWise is the real alternative: 10 reasons why its the best!" and the notes made by one of the attendees, Kees Stravers, at this page.

BONUS SESSION: GroupWise is the real alternative: 10 reasons why its the best! |
|
Imagine you're one of the founders of the GUG-UK and then someday (after a nice round of golf?) the decision "We will move to Outlook" has been taken. Isn't that the biggest fear of most GroupWise administrators? Well, something like that happened to John and of course he was "not amused". Even after many years John is still very involved with the GroupWise community and he is waiting for the day that his organization realizes they should turn around. Based on his own experiences John can explain why "Moving to the dark side" did not help his organization much, on the contrary.
|
| |
In his free time John is glad to explain why "GroupWise is the real alternative: 10 reasons why its the best!", as he first did by presenting a session at a GUG-UK meeting. Early November he presented this compelling story again in the Netherlands and based on this success, the GUG-NL is very proud to sponsor his appearance at the Summit to present an additional Bonus Session on Sunday evening. Make sure to join us there, this will certainly re-energize you in your battles against ignorance and strengthen you in your fight against bad decisions. |
